Luscious food lovers in Somolu/Bariga area of Lagos will heave a sigh of relief as Chef Adama’s Kitchen, a food restaurant berthed at No. 3, Ikija Street, Off Olaosebikan Street, Bajulaiye Compound, Somolu. The food outlet which was recently commissioned to serve Somolu/Bariga communities with irresistible menus with both eat-in and home delivery.
According to the Blessing Adaobi, proprietress of food outfit and final year student of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, revealed to Somolu Newspaper that the essence of opening the food outfit is to exhibit the passion she has for catering right her childhood which she sees as a dream come true.
She adds “From day one, I’ve always wanted to go into home management as a discipline and since cooking (catering) and home management are not too far from each other, I believe I can manage the two disciplines very well”.
“Let me also let you know that getting a place to start with was a strong decision that I made to achieve my set out goal and now that I’ve achieved that, the sky is a starting point for me”. she stated
“Although it’s not been so easy but I will give the grace to God and my mum, my dad for being amazing parents and not leaving out my entire family for the wonderful supports I’ve been enjoying so far because if not for them, I wouldn’t have gone this far”.
“A lot of people don’t even believe my age especially my friends. Many of them thought I’m 20 years and above but no, I’m less than that and they’re like I want to support you and be parts of the success story”.
Adaobi who has an affinity for catering attended catering schools around Bariga, Surulere and several food and drinks workshops where she sharpened her knowledge years back has vowed to do the impossible as far as food and drinks are concerned. Although Chef Adanma’s Kitchen serves local foods like Pounded Yam, Amala, Fufu and Eba, fried rice Ogbono, the proprietress of the newly commissioned food out hinted that she also has her hands in other confectionaries like cake, Puff-Puff, Doughnut, Hotdog Chin-Chin, Smoothy and Meatpie.
Chef Adama thereafter made a revelation that her mum has always been her source of joy and her role model as she loves cooking. Though, I have professional chefs like Ify’s Kitchen and some others but will place my mother above them as a role model anytime, any day”.
Chef Adama’s Kitchen is hygienically, irresistibly and visually appealing place to eat and favourite among those who work from and around the Somolu/Bariga in a serene environment.
