Ashimi-led Administration kickstarts grading on Abimbola lane as work progresses in Odubiyi, Odunlami

In the Ward E area of Somolu Local Government, the Chairman Ashimi-led administration has commenced excavation and grading works on Abimbola Lane, signalling the final phase of the road reconstruction projects.

Within three weeks in March, through relentless day-and-night efforts, the current administration finalised the reconstruction of Jemilugba Lane, Sanusi Phase II, and Okuyiga Close. The infrastructure team has now proceeded to the Ward E area for essential project conclusions.

Earlier this week, Chairman Ashimi spearheaded a delegation to review the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects. During the tour, he reaffirmed his commitment to a comprehensive paving initiative, assuring residents that no street would be overlooked. He also called for continued patience and public cooperation as the administration extends its reach across all wards, modernising Somolu’s road network to catalyse commerce and intra-streets connectivity.

Meanwhile, the Supervisor for Works & Infrastructure, Hon. Abdul-Kabir Raji, stated that interlocking installation will extend beyond Soyinka, Shiro (Fadeyi), Awofeso, and Adeola (Ijebutedo), as grading continues in Ward E with Abimbola Lane next in line.

Additionally, significant efforts are currently underway for the renewal of the Odubiyi and Odunlami drainage channels to connect Esangbogun, alerting residents to an administration that prioritises development over mediocrity.
