Ashimi-led Administration swears in new Executive Council Members

Following the successful screening exercises held at the chambers of the 10th Legislative House earlier today for the newly approved executive council members, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, hosted the official swearing-in ceremony at the council conference room.

During the ceremony, Barrister Joshua Aderopo (State Counsel, Somolu LG) administered the Oath of Office. The Council Chairman welcomed the new members with warm regards alongside the Emeritus Chairman, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, Chief of Staff, Prince Sodiq Adeeso and other Management Members, emphasising the need for readiness and diligence in the tasks ahead. He also lauded the efforts of other party leaders for their positive influence in achieving a stable and unanimous decision.

The Council Manager, Mr. Abiodun Peters Babington, urged the appointees to prioritise the interests of the local government in all dealings, stressing that loyalty and synergy are vital for the community’s progress. He also praised Rt. Hon. Tunde James Oyeyiola and the Honourable Councillors for their commendable leadership over the past eight months.

The new All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Pastor Adefalujo Olisa, lauded Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu for his crucial impact both now and during his tenure. He further advised the newly appointed members to utilise this privilege for the success of the council.

The Vice Chairman & Supervisor for Education, Hon. Taiwo Ojomu, concluded the gathering with a vote of thanks, specifically acknowledging the leaders. He assured those present that the current administration will triumph remarkably to ensure the votes of the electorate do not go to waste.

* Kabiru Raji: Supervisor for Works & Infrastructure

* Afees Raheem: Supervisor for Agric, Youth & Social Services

* Tayo Okutubo: Supervisor for Tourism

* Gbenga Ayodele: Supervisor for Chieftaincy Affairs

* Dabiri Omobolanle: Supervisor for Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation (WAPA)

* Kola Muhammad: Supervisor for Information & Communication Technology (ICT)

* Ladi Omifare: Supervisor for Budget

* Yomi Olugbenga Osunkoya: Supervisor for Environment

* Sunday Adelaja: Supervisor for Health

* Ajagbe Rafiu: Special Adviser on Works

* Kudirat Ayoola Ibrahim: Special Adviser on Health

* Koya Sodipe: Special Adviser on Budget

* Adekunle Ekiyemi: Special Adviser on Education & Library Services

* Adetutu Surakat: Special Adviser on Tourism
