Firm to begin Ramadan Iftar for Somolu Muslim Community

Somolu, Lagos—In the spirit of Ramadan, Proficient Logistics Services Limited, a waste management company under the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), will commence a special Iftar programme for mosques within Wards D and E of the Somolu community on Friday, March 7th, 2025.
The initiative, which aligns with the values of charity and communal support during the holy month, aims to provide daily meals to the Muslim faithful breaking their fast.
According to the organizer, the programme is designed to support the worshippers and promote unity among residents.
Speaking to Somolu News correspondent, the CEO of Proficient Logistics Services Limited, Mr. Olalekan Owojori emphasized the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility beyond waste management.
“As a company serving within ward D and E comprising 52 streets, we recognize the importance of giving back, especially during Ramadan. This Iftar programme is our way of supporting the Muslim faithful as they observe this sacred period,” Owojori stated.
As Ramadan progresses, the organiser has assured that the programme will continue to run smoothly, ensuring that more worshippers benefit from the daily provision of Iftar meals.
This initiative by Proficient Logistics Services Limited adds to the growing list of corporate social responsibility efforts by organizations seeking to uplift local communities, especially during religious festivities.
