The Ilugoke compound in Iperu-Remo of Ogun State was a scene to behold as family, friends and we’ll wishers besieged the venue in honor of the 8th Day Fridau prayer session for the late Yeye-Oba of Idena; Chief Mrs. Alimot Alake Osinowo who passed away a few days ago at the ripe age of 98.

Speaking at the venue of the event, the Islamic cleric who led the prayer described the late Alhaja Alimot Osinowo as a noble individual who was well loved, respected, and cherished in the community by many people around adding that It’s customary for loved ones to extol the virtues of someone who has impacted positively in their lives.

“It’s a good thing to know that Alhaja Alimot Alake Osinowo is not just being fondly remembered today but prayed for according to Islamic injunction by both family members and friends simply because she’s a devoted Islamic faithful who served God and humanity wholeheartedly”.

“She’s a well-respected and cherished individual who had invested her time and life in her family, and everyone around her including the community where lived, and as such, she deserves this kind of gathering at all times for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her aljanah fridaus. No doubt about the fact that she had lived a fulfilled life and left a good legacy to show for it”.

“Don’t forget that Allah has mandated us to do his biddings, be of good character to our fellow human being at every point in time as enshrined in the Holy Quran which she did wholeheartedly while she was alive”.

In the same vein, one of the sons of the deceased, Hon. Oluwatosin Osinowo had showered praises on his mother for having impacted positively on him and his siblings for them to have gone this far in life.

“No doubt about the fact that her disciplinary actions, prayers, and pieces of life advice have been the success key that has taken us this far”.
“Let me say she’s a no-nonsense mother who would spare no rod to avert the future calamity of losing any of her children to social vices. She honestly did her best to give us the needed training and here we are today growing from bound to bound. Special thanks to you Maami. I will miss you so much”.

Similarly, the elated Special Adviser to Somolu Council boss on Health, Hon. Koya Oluyinka-Sodipe could not hide his feelings as he paid glorious tribute to his late mother describing her as a gem of inestimable value who would go to any reasonable length to provide for their need where and when necessary.

“My mother, Alhaja as I fondly called her was a disciplinarian with a unique character worthy of emulation. A down-to-earth and exemplary woman of honour. It’s my prayer that the good Lord will grant her eternal rest and forgive her shortcomings”.

Present at the special prayer session for the late Chief Alimot Osinowo include the top government functionaries, Politicians, Captains of Industry, traditional rulers, religious leaders, Businessmen and women not leaving out artisans.
