The Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Hon. Samiat Abolalnle Bada in commemoration of this year’s International Day for the Girl Child joined the global community in celebrating the incredible potential, strength, and resilience of our girls tagged “Empowering Girls for a Brighter Future,”

The Mayoress in her remarks described the day as a day to reaffirm commitment to providing every girl in the community with the opportunity to thrive and fulfill their dreams noting that girls are the future leaders, and it is the government’s responsibility to ensure their protection and nurture.

“We emphasize the importance of quality education, equal opportunities, and a safe environment for our girls to grow and excel. We must work together to eliminate gender inequality, discrimination, and violence that hinder their progress. Let’s prioritize the needs and rights of our girls, creating a more inclusive and equitable society where they can reach their full potential”. she stated.

However, Bada in her own little way celebrated the incredible potential of girls and pledged to create an environment where they can grow, learn, and lead with unwavering confidence. Our community’s future hinges on this collective effort.
