It is indeed another delightful piece of news for the Somolu Community, as the Rootswatch Best Performing Council Chairman in Nigeria, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, officially commenced the reconstruction of Johnson Road in the Ward E Area.
The infrastructure development of the aforesaid road has started with the drainage channel works to ensure it connects directly to Odunlami and Abiodun streets. This is to avoid the blockage of wastewater, which may lead to flooding along the axis.
Having revamped 21 roads across the community while work on 13 others is ongoing, Johnson Road will make it the 35th project embarked upon since the beginning of the current administration through the Works and Infrastructure Department.
In addition, Mayor Ashimi has charged Alhaji Kabir Raji (Supervisor), Hon. Rafiu Ajagbe (Special Adviser), Engr. Babafemi Osifala (Council Engineer), and the respective CDA stakeholders and residents work hand in hand for the effective delivery of the road project.
