BLAPAN celebrates literary icon, Prof. Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo, on birthday

The Better Life for Authors and Publishers Association of Nigeria (BLAPAN) has joined family members, colleagues, and admirers across the globe to celebrate renowned literary scholar and author, Professor Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo, on the occasion of her birthday.

In a congratulatory message signed by its National President, Hon. Feyi-Abiodun Samson Oyeniyi, the association described Prof. Adimora-Ezeigbo as an icon of the literary world whose influence extends beyond Nigeria’s shores.

Hon. Oyeniyi recalled his early encounter with the celebrated professor during his days as a student at the University of Lagos, where he studied in the Faculty of Arts, Departments of Philosophy and History.

According to him, Prof. Adimora-Ezeigbo stood out remarkably among her peers, not only for her academicbrilliance but also for her graceful and confident personality.

He noted that even as a young academic, she embodied a rare blend of intellectual depth and admirable poise, qualities that have continued to define her illustrious career in literature and scholarship. Over the years, Prof. Adimora-Ezeigbo has earned widespread recognition for her outstanding contributions to creative writing, literary criticism, and the advancement of African literature.

Describing her as “a goddess of beauty and brain,” the BLAPAN President praised her for consistently inspiring generations of writers, scholars, and students through her works and mentorship.

“On behalf of all members of the Better Life for Authors and Publishers Association of Nigeria (BLAPAN), I heartily congratulate Prof. Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo on her birthday. She remains a shining light in the literary community and a source of pride to our nation,” the statement read.
