Eyewitnesses said the woman, who was carrying her seven-month-old baby at the time, slumped unexpectedly, prompting immediate efforts by concerned individuals to assist her. Despite frantic attempts to contact her family members, no means of identification or contact information could be found.
According to those who tried to help, the woman’s mobile phone did not contain a SIM card, making it impossible to trace her relatives or reach anyone who might know her.
The incident was promptly reported to the Igando Police Station, whose officers responded swiftly and arranged for the woman to be taken to Alimosho General Hospital, Igando, for urgent medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, she was said to be unconscious and unresponsive, while medical personnel continue to monitor her condition.
Further accounts from eyewitnesses revealed that the woman was a familiar face in the area and was often seen begging for food to feed her baby. One witness disclosed that she had previously approached a local food vendor in search of employment but was turned down because she had her baby with her.
Residents suspect that severe hunger and exhaustion may have contributed to her collapse, given her frequent appeals for food and assistance.
Members of the public have continued to express concern for both the woman and her infant, offering prayers for her recovery and hoping that her family can be located soon.
