Somolu residents to enjoy free food palliative

Somolu residents will on Friday 24th of  October, 2025 be given yet another opportunity to enjoy free food palliative, tagged “Ounce Arugbo” courtesy of the Executive Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. Lateef Ashimi who had during his campaign affirmed his commitment to the welfare of his people.

The food palliative programme will be his second edition since he assumed office as the Executive Chairman of the council, following the footsteps of his predecessor, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ who initiated the programme.

Many of the residents including politicians, community and religious leaders not leaving out artisans who had in the recent past benefitted from Hon. Lateef Ashimi’s ‘Heart of Gold’ have been commending him for having his people at heart noting that a good leader will always have his people’s support.

Meanwhile, no fewer than 1,000 residents will also be served at the new local government secretariat, Bashua, Lagos which according to Hon. Ashimi was part of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and his effort to cushion the effect of economic hardship that has plagued the nation in the recent times.
