…Proprietor reaffirms commitment to quality education and moral excellence
It was a memorable day filled with joy, colour, and celebration as Firm Base Schools, located in Fola-Agoro, Somolu, Lagos, held her 24th Graduation and Prize Giving Day. The well-attended ceremony brought together graduating students, parents, guardians, staff, friends of the school, and community stakeholders in a heartwarming display of unity and academic pride.
The event marked yet another milestone in the school’s journey of academic excellence, moral upbringing, and holistic development of young minds. Guests were treated to a variety of captivating performances from the students, including cultural dances, drama, musical renditions, and poetry recitations—each showcasing the talent and confidence the school has instilled in them.
In his address, the Proprietor of the school, Pastor Gbenga Kalejaiye, expressed profound gratitude to God for sustaining the school through 24 impactful years. He reiterated Firm Base Schools’ unwavering commitment to nurturing future leaders through sound education and strong moral values.
“Our goal remains the same – to provide qualitative education that not only prepares our students for academic success but also molds them into morally upright and responsible citizens. We are dedicated to equipping our students with the necessary tools to compete favourably with their peers anywhere in the world.” Pastor Kalejaiye declared.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of prizes to outstanding students across various classes and subjects. Special awards were also given to best-behaved pupils, most improved students, and those who had excelled in extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and community service.
Graduating students were dressed in beautiful academic gowns as they took their final bow, marking the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new journey.
Parents and guests commended the school for its consistent track record in academic performance, moral discipline, and character-building among all other schools in that same axis.
Meanwhile, one of the parents, Mrs. Shewa Akinde spoke to Somolu News Correspondent about how her children had been positively transformed under the tutelage of the school, as she urged the management to maintain and sustain the legacy of excellence.
“To be honest with you, I can say Firm Base Schools have been on top of the game and it’s the joy every parents to see their wards climb the ladder of success and that’s exactly what we’re witnessing here today as my son is one of the graduating students. I’m no doubt delighted to be part of this event”.
Similarly, a graduands of the school, Moroore Oropo commended the school management and for churning out academic excellence noting that he was not surprised because the schools never drifted from it’s set standard since he joined the school.
He continued, “I’m so delighted to be part of the occasion having fulfilled the statutory process for graduation and I want to commend Firm Base for it’s moral culture and academic excellence placed as their priority at every point in time, it’s really commendable”. He concluded.
The event concluded with goodwill messages, a vote of thanks by the Head Girl, and a closing prayer that ushered in a bright future for the young graduates.
With 24 years of impactful service in the education sector, Firm Base Schools continues to stand tall as one of Somolu’s shining lights in shaping the next generation.
