In what has been described as a moment of joy and thanksgiving, Comrade Siyaka Asuku Ogembe, the Treasurer of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Somolu chapter, has welcomed a bouncing baby girl with his wife, Ogembe Temitope Hameeda in a Lagos hospital on Sunday 25th May, 2025.
The news of the baby’s arrival was shared by Comrade Asuqu in the early hours of Monday, sending waves of excitement across the youth council and the Somolu community at large.
According to family sources, both the mother and the newborn are in good health and have since been discharged from the hospital. The delighted father expressed his gratitude to God for a safe delivery, describing the arrival of the baby as a blessing and a source of renewed hope.
“This is indeed a joyful moment for my family and me. We are grateful to God for granting us this precious gift. My wife and our baby girl are doing well, and we are overjoyed to embark on this new chapter as parents”. Said Comrade Asuqu while speaking to our correspondent.
Well-wishers, colleagues, and community members have been trooping to the family’s residence to share in their happiness. Several prominent members of the Somolu NYCN chapter have also sent in their congratulatory messages, praying for good health and a bright future for the newborn.
The NYCN chapter in Somolu, in a statement issued on Monday evening, extended warm congratulations to Comrade Asuqu and his wife, noting that the addition to their family is a testament to the blessings of life and the importance of family values in the community.
