Again, GAC inspection team thumbs-up Somolu LG chairman’s infrastructural legacy

After the huge commendation by the inspection team from Lagos State House of Assembly a few months ago, the Governor Advisory Council team led by former Minister of Defence and All Progressive Congress chieftain: Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has yet again lavished encomium on the Somolu council chairman; Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ for his transformation turn around in Somolu local government.

Speaking to newsmen recently, the former Nigerian Ambassador to Ghana; Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, said that the essence of their coming to Somolu local government was to assess what the council chairman, Hon. AbdulHameed Salawu, has done regarding governance.
The former chairman of Lagos Island local government, however, said the council chairman has performed creditably well and deserves all the accolades that come his way, noting that Hon. Salawu ‘Dullar’ has done so many things that have not been done in the history of Somolu local government.

“Having done all the necessary inspections as deemed fit, we’re pleased with him, fand or a man, to have done 65 roads in this local government. That’s a bold move, and I believe such a person should be encouraged,” he echoed.
In the same vein, the Grand Chief Imam of Somolu/Bariga, Sheikh Bulyameen Olanrewaju Akanbi Dabiri in his commendation showered encomium on the council chief for his infrastructural development as well as welfare and economic empowerment to his people describing it as superb and very encouraging.

“Hon. ‘Dullar’ no doubt has done so well especially in the area of infrastructural development as well as welfare and economic empowerment to his people describing it as superb and very encouraging. I’m so delighted that I’m the Grand Chief Imam of Somolu/Bariga in his era”.

Sheikh Dabiri, however, urged the next chairman to take a cue from Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu’s leadership style so as to have a seamless local government administration going forward.
Meanwhile, the Baale of Bajulaiye Community, Alhaji Chief Alabi Yinusa applauded Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu’s led administration for giving the Somolu community a face-lift owing to his infrastructure development and economic support in the last seven years while he urged the residents to put the infrastructures provided by the council chief into good use.

In his message, the Somolu Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Sodeko Ihsan Ahmad Olamide applauded the council helmsman, Hon. ‘Dullar’ for not only being strategic in his infrastructure development but also in the area of the leadership approach.
“From my own perspective, I believe the Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar has ensured his initiative covered all demography in Somolu and not just for the youths but others. He gave everyone a sense of belonging, I commended his efforts”.

Comrade Sodeko in his closing remarks enjoined the Somolu youths to come on board noting that they are the backbone of the country and as such should be ready to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the country.
