RELIEF: Somolu Chairman ‘Dullar’ urges patience with APC government

The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, made a heartfelt case for patience with the APC government.

The event, a Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu initiative, offered Lagosians a 25% discount on basic food items such as rice, beans, garri, bread, and pepper, providing much-needed relief to struggling households.

Chairman Dullar spent over five hours at the Agunbiade Primary School, the venue of Ounje Eko, offering cash refunds to shoppers, a gesture that resonated deeply with the community. Mrs. Idowu Tijani, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude. “The Chairman’s presence means a lot to us. He’s been here week after week, giving us money to buy food, and it makes a real difference,” she said.

In his remarks, Hon. Salawu emphasized that public service extends beyond infrastructure to human welfare. “Our APC manifesto is rooted in development for the people, both structurally and personally. We ask Nigerians to be patient with the government across all tiers; we are working for the people’s good,” he stated.

Hon. Salawu’s actions follow his recent efforts to provide N110 million in palliatives to 4,000 Somolu residents, cushioning the effects of global economic challenges. His commitment to supporting the community continues to build trust and hope among his people.
