Somolu council boss ‘Dullar’ receives new general hospital MD

The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar,’ on Tuesday 13th August 2024 welcomed the new Medical Director of Somolu General Hospital, Dr. Mustapha Quadri, along with his management team.

The visit underscored the ongoing efforts to ensure that the hospital remains highly responsive to community needs and prioritizes personnel training.

The visiting team included Dr. Quadri Mustapha Adebola (MD/CEO), Mrs. Boboe Mulikat Temitope (Head of Administration & Human Resources), Mrs. Ihiator Whyte (Apex Nurse), and Mrs. Agu Judith (Public Affairs Officer). During the meeting, Chairman ‘Dullar’ stressed the importance of providing high-quality healthcare services and called for enhanced training programs for the hospital’s personnel to better serve patients.

According to the Public Relations Officer, Somolu General Hospital offers a variety of clinics, including Antenatal services on Mondays and Wednesdays, Obstetrics & Gynecology on Tuesdays, and Paediatric services from Monday to Friday. Other services such as Dental care and the General Outpatient Department (GOPD) are available throughout the week.

She added that residents can contact the hospital, in case of emergencies, complaints, or suggestions, at the following numbers: 08023133936, 08035356232, 08023226479, and 09072031283. These contacts are crucial for timely medical assistance.

Chairman ‘Dullar’ also highlighted Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to constructing a state-of-the-art general hospital in Somolu, equipped with ultramodern medical equipment and skilled professionals.

The meeting was attended by the Leader of the Council, Hon. Yomi Osunkoya; the Supervisor for Health, Hon. ‘Ladi Omifare; and the Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Dr. Abidemi Agboola.
