The Somolu chapter of the National Association of Persons with Physical Disability (NAPWD) has bestowed on the Executive Chairman of the Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ the Award of Appreciation for his uncommon exemplary leadership and philanthropic gesture.
According to the leader of the group, Mr. Adebule Adebisi in his appreciation remarks said the award recipient remained one of the exemplary leaders with a distinct vision who has the interest of his people at heart. A listening leader and promise keeper hence, it became necessary to appreciate him.
“To be candid with you, I met him exactly the way he was described. They told me he’s a listening leader and when I led my group to him some time ago last year about certain challenges we are facing as (PLWD) he told us he would attend to our needs and today he’s not far from his words”. And with the Yoruba proverbial saying which goes thus that ‘Yin-ni-Yin-ni, Kale se’mi which literarily means to whom much is given, much is also expected”.
“He’s truly a man with a golden heart. A promise keeper and trailblazer who has enriched the lives of people around him. His philanthropic gesture is second to none. No wonder they call him ‘Mr. Koseleri’.

The group, however, urged the council boss to ensure he accorded the rightful places and privileges in the area of empowerment and other dividends of democracy.
The award which was received on his behalf by the Somolu leader of the Legislative Arms, Hon. Yomi Oshikoya thanked the group for finding it worthy of being honoured while he promised to continue to do his best where and when necessary.
Meanwhile, in his closing remarks, Mr Adebule prayed to God to continue to bless and guide Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’s footsteps to serve his people and the Somolu community in its entirety.
