The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi was on a scheduled visit to the operational base of the Lagos Ferry Service Terminal located at the mile 2 area of the state, where he met with the Managing Director, LagFerry, Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun and other staff members.
During his visit, he reassured of the Lagos State Government’s (LASG) commitment to improving water transportation. He also promised to support LAGFERRY in achieving its mandate of ferrying 30% of Lagosians via the waterways.
Mr. Osiyemi commended the management of the agency and expressed satisfaction with the E-fleet Surveillance System, which he described as a game-changer that would see to the real-time welfare and safety of the passengers while enjoying the services.
He also urged the agency to create more awareness in terms of publicity of its operations, especially since the festive season is fast approaching, highlighting the activities and social events that can take place on its barge The Managing Director of the agency assured the Commissioner of their unwavering support towards achieving a greater Lagos through the transportation sector.
