The Chief Imam of Nawair-deen Central Mosque Somolu/Bariga Branch, Fadhilat Sheikh Abiola Ahmad has revealed that the bane of quick money syndrome in society today was a result of the inability of our youths to remain steadfast, patient, and focused on their life ambition noting that most of them engage in cultism and some other social vices that often times cut their promising lives short.
The Founder of Aenur Ridhoh Islamic Global family stated further while fielding questions from Somolu News that many of the impatient promising and talented youths engaged in nefarious activities just to ‘belong’ and in the process either ran mad or met their untimely death. He likened the youth of today to one of Allah’s Prophets; Noah whose children failed to heed the warning of their father and lost their precious lives owing to indecency, crudeness, and ignorance.
“It’s unfortunate that the society we find ourselves today has been plagued with so many evils that the youths of nowadays have thrown decency and good morals into the trash bin. They no longer see the reason to emulate good characters because they to want live large; buy exotic cars, live in a mansion, and at the end of the day, have evil befall them.
“The most unfortunate thing is that the so-called Alfas and pastors also engage in these barbaric and indecency acts aiding and abating. They engage in all sorts of things like cultism and rituals all in the name of money”. He narrated.
“Even, their parents no longer bother to ask them where they got the money. They always see this as a welcome development while they praise their wards for the wealth they know nothing about and when the unfortunate things happen, they’ll start running helter-skelter for solution”.
The Islamic cleric, however, in his closing remarks enjoined parents and guidance to watch their wards closely, ask questions where and when necessary, advise them to shun any ungodly acts that could cut their lives short, imbibe exemplary character and remain focused in order for them to achieve their dream goal in life and the last but not the least, pray for them fervently.
