There have been mixed reactions as a new Petrol station, Mobil Oil has opened an outlet for business along Market Street in Somolu local government area of the state in addition to other outlets in the community.
According to one of the commercial bus operators who came to refuel at the station, Mr. Solomon Ajasa said the establishment of such service providing outlet will make petrol and other products more accessible for both commercial and private vehicles and as well create room for healthier competition among the petroleum marketers in the community.
“To be honest with you, establishing a new petrol station around here is a welcome development that’ll further boost the economic ecosystem through the availability of petrol and other products for both commercial and private vehicles and also create room for healthier competition among the petroleum marketers in the community. And for individuals living around the area, it’ll ease the burden of having to go to Apata Street or Bajulaiye Road where other outlets are situated”.
In the same vein, a resident who claimed anonymity berated the state government for allowing the citing of a petrol station in a densely populated residential area which he claimed could pose a danger to lives and the properties stressing that any little spark could cause serious fire disaster that’ll leave tears, sorrow, psychological and physical scars in the lives of the residents and the community at large.

The gigantic and well-structured edifice located adjacent to the new Alade Shopping complex with 4 dispensing pumps that commenced operation on Monday will serve the people around the axis while Mobil, Total, AP, Conoil, and NNPC stretched along Ikorodu Road will continue to attract consumers along the axis.
