Over 3,000 students stormed the Oduduwa Cresent Office of Independent Campaign Council (ICC) for Tinubu/Shetima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat on Thursday 2nd February 2023 as the group doled out free JAMB forms to aspiring students who are willing to further their education to higher institutions.

The event which was anchored by the Education Directorate is part of efforts to further alleviate poverty in the society which will go a long way in jettisoning illiteracy and all other social vices that’ll pave way for good development in all strata of the society.

Speaking to one of the parents at the council’s premises, Mr. Jimoh Salau described the initiative as a welcome development noting that such a gesture will not only avail the students the opportunity to secure admission into higher learning institutions in pursuit of their educational career but will relieve some parents who could not afford to secure the form for their ward the pain of having to jump from one place to the other looking for the money to get the form.

“Honesty, I wasn’t sure initiative of this nature can come up around here until my daughter was alerted to come over for the UTME screening and when we got here, they really accommodated us and as I talking to you now, my daughter has been screened, enrolled and ready to take the examination. I’m really elated and appreciate the genuine gesture.”

“To be candid with you and for what I have seen governor Sanwo-Olu doing in Lagos State, I believe APC is doing a good job and I’m sure when they’re elected into the position of authority, they’ll do more than this. I assure you that I and all members of my family will make our vote count when the voting starts in earnest.” He averred.

The initiative is being put together by the Independent Campaign Council (ICC) under the auspices of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in support of the re-election of Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term in office as well as to elect Tinubu/Shettima and all other APC candidates in the state.
