It was a historical, befitting, and memorable final burial outing for the father of one of the aides of Somolu All Progressive Congress (APC) Lagos State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Biodun Orekoya, Dayo Adewunmi who buried his father, Chief Engr. Adewunmi Adewale Joseph in a grand style a few months ago.
The well-attended event which took place at the prestigious event center, Fadeyi-Lagos, no doubt, was a cynosure of all eyes as family members, friends not leaving out the crème-la-crème of the society were seen exchanging pleasantry including top political icons and members of the ruling party who stormed the venue in Aso-Ebi to celebrate the life and time of the septuagenarian.
There was never a dull moment as the Afro-Juju maestro kept dishing out good vibes that put the guests on their toes till late in the night with lots of mouthwatering and nutritious meals.
Speaking to Somolu News correspondent, one of the deceased sons, Dayo Adewunmi popularly known as Dinomax said he was delighted to know that his father lived a fulfilled life and left a befitting legacy for his children to emulate and transfer the legacy for the next generation to come describing his father as ‘Father of Boys in the neighbourhood’ who was loved by all.
He went further, “It’s a known fact that my father lived a fulfilled life and remained a respected communitarian till he breathe his last. He was a fantastic father and man of honour with a well-dotted legacy bequeathed to his children that’ll be transferred from one generation to the other. He’s well known for his knack for playing with young and old.” He stated.
Dinomax in his remarks never hesitated to appreciate the guests and well-wishers who had one way or the other contributed to the success of the outing ceremony.
Guests in attendance include the former Vice-Chairman of Somolu local government and former Executive Secretary of the same Council, Hon. Biodun Orekoya, the Leader of the Somolu Legislative Arm, Hon. Yomi Osunkoya, the Majority leader of the House; Hon. Muibi Abdul-Lateef, the Deputy Majority leader; Hon. Bolaji Teluwo, the Deputy Chief Whip of the legislative arms; Hon. Tunde James, and the floor member; Hon. Folarin Adegbite.
Others are the Supervisory Councillor for Environment; Hon. Olumide Akinola popularly known as ‘Akins’, the Supervisory Councillor for Health; Hon. Ladi Omifare, the SA to council Chairman on Health; Hon. Koya Olayinka-Sodipe, the Personal Assistant to the Council Chairman; Hon. Tola Orekoya, and other council staff.
