Residents of Ogunbadejo street and Duru close in the Somolu local government area of the state have applauded a member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Ademorin Kuye and his Lagos state House of Assembly APC candidate in the coming 2023 general election, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya for facilitating a water point project at the extreme end of Ogunbadejo street in addition to the ones donated by Ward E Councillor, Hon. Bolaji Teluwo and Member, House of Reps, Hon. Ademorin Kuye.

Speaking to Somolu News online on the project, the former Regional Chief Accountant of Panalpina West Africa, Hon. Niyi Osibemekun (Jackal) specifically hinted that the water point was a good development that’ll not only ease the burden of queues but also reduce the burden of scarcity of water in the area.

He went further, “During the construction of the road project by the state government, the borehole donated by Hon. Bolaji Teluwo was affected and destroyed and it became difficult for the inhabitant to have access to good water.”

“And in one of Orekoya’s visits, I have to inform him of our challenges about the water and he decided to fund it which was equally supported by Hon. Ademorin Kuye and the people are happy about the new development in the area and as a matter of fact, we have three water tanks now which means we can get water from morning till night.”

“However, it’ll be a good idea if the honourables can extend the project to other areas because he who gives water, gives life.”

The former Somolu/Bariga PDP chairman, however, urged the residents to take care of the water point and not abuse it to the extent of damaging it.

A community leader in the area, Engr. Lanre Odujoko also applauded the donors for their unflinching support and prayed to God to continue to guide and bless them in all ramifications.

“No doubt, the water project is a good development that’ll have a positive impact on the lives of the people in the community. They won’t have to suffer scarcity of water anymore because we have about three in the area and I think it’s a good gesture from the honourable. May the good Lord bless them for us and grant them the wisdom and understanding to lead us aright.” He concluded.
