It was a euphoric moment at the residence of the Council Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu, as he presented a car gift of a Toyota Camry to a political friend and Lagos-based ace broadcaster, Prince Ibrahim Kehinde Ladega of the Agboyi Kingdom which was under the old Somolu Local Government, now Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
Prince Ladega is a progressive politician and broadcaster known for his unfiltered support for the leading 2023 Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State as well as Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, Council Chairman of Somolu Local Government.
According to the council’s helmsman, Prince Ladega deserves the gift for his consistent support and contribution to his administration even before it started in 2017.
He added that the gift is an encouragement that will aid the mobility of the media practitioner and will also send moral lessons to the younger generation about the rewards for loyalty and volunteering.
As if that was not enough, just two days after receiving a car gift from the Council Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, Prince Ibrahim Kehinde Ladega got a political appointment from the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, RT. Hon. Femi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, as the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Speaker in South-West.
This is an indication that Prince Ladega is a ‘Child of Destiny’ whose loyalty and dedication to his profession and constituency paved way for him.
