Somolu Central Hotel Saga: Former hotel Managing Director, Demola recounts ordeal, satisfied with the progress of his new hotel project.

The estranged former Somolu Central Hotel Manager, Ademola Ogunade has recounted his ordeal in the first few days of the new year describing what he went through in hands of his brothers as barbaric, disheartening, and callous.

Demo in a chat with Somolu News recently, said he never thought his brothers could sell the hotel his father laboured to build with his sweat. The same building he used as a hotel business to send many of them to school, describing the act as biting the fingers that fed them.

Demola recounted how he gave the hospitality business his best shot to retain the legacy his father built before it was eventually sold.

He continued, “When the idea of selling the hotel got to me, I thought it was a joke not until I was confronted with the reality. They called and told me that I should start packing my belongings and that the building is already gone and not too long after, the buyer appeared from the blues, I was shocked to the marrow”.

“Their intention is that I will beg to survive but God will never forsake his people. Within a few days, God sent a good Samaritan to me, Hon. Olowo Rotimi sent for me and he gave me half of his landed property situated along Abiodun street and my hope was rekindled”.

“I got support from a lot of people who gave me the courage to move ahead with my life and today, to the glory of God who owns the heaven and earth, the new hotel project is nearing completion”.

The Ijebu-born hotelier never hesitate to pour encomium on his benefactors who had one way or the other contributed to the ongoing hotel project saying he cannot thank them enough.

Even with the hotel in its 90% completion, his former and new clients have fallen over to be the first to declare it open while others have been congratulating him on his new achievement day and night.

However, the new hotel owner boasted that the multi-million naira edifice will compete favourably with some of the top-class hotels in town when completed in a few months’ time with the construction of the new hotel in top gear

The dark in complexion hotelier was reported to have been thrown out of the family hotel business a few months ago owing to a brouhaha that erupted between him and his brothers which led to his being disengaged and the building sold out to humiliate him.
