Over 3000 residents of Somolu local government were on Saturday 2nd June 2022 provided with Rice, Beans, Garri, and Granola vegetable Oil monthly welfare package by the Executive Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ to further cater for their need for the month.
The Don of the Somolu community who was ably represented by the Chairperson of the council, Hon. Mariam Omotanwa Salau said the monthly welfare package became necessary in order to cater for the elderly and widows who no longer have the strength to work in fulfillment of Hon. Dullar’s campaign agenda.
She added, “As a way of cushioning the effect of harsh economic conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dullar-led administration saw the need to salvage the situation which has been prioritized since the beginning of his tenure in 2017 and will last till the end of his tenure”. She stated
In the same vein, the Supervisory for Agric and sports, Hon. Ayo-Coker also in his remarks applauded the chairman of the Somolu council, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ for doing a yeoman’s job feeding widows and the elderly monthly while urging them to keep supporting him where and when necessary.
The monthly programme which took place at the Agunbiade Primary School playground had the top echelon of Somolu All Progressive Congress and other community leaders in attendance including the immediate past chairman of Somolu LGA, Somolu Woman leader, and some other notable personalities.
