The Executive chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘DullarHon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ has reiterated his commitment towards enhancing education as well as grassroots sports development in his domain in tandem with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu THEME agenda.

According to the No. 1 citizen of Somolu community who commended the teachers and students for making themselves available at the just concluded free summer coaching class organised by the office of the chairman to enhance their educational skill said the move became necessary so as for the students to achieve their academic goal and as well compete with their counterparts favourably when the need arises.

Similarly, Mr. Koseleri as fondly called by his supporters recently awarded one of the Somolu boxers, Rilwan Ajisebutu a.k.a Showboy with a cash prize after winning a boxing bout where he defeated his counterpart in a contest that lasted for hours at the prestigious Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The chairman who was conspicuously in attendance to support his kinsman was seen jabbing from his corner in correlation with showboys’ moves who eventually had a field day said harnessing sporting talents in the community will remains his government priority which he said will go a long way in putting Somolu on the global map.

He adds, “the two sectors are key areas of human endeavour that plays significant roles in shaping our life for good especially the younger ones which must not be treated kids gloves and as such, we are putting measures in place to ensure we capture the youths interest if we must make meaningful heads way in the community, state and the nation at large”.

The multiple awards winning council chairman however, admonished the youths to be goodwill ambassadors as parts of effort to move Somolu to the next level.
