NYCN Lagos East enjoins Ikosi-Ketu/Ikorodu Youth to maintain Peace

Incessant restiveness in any part of the world would over time disrupt economic activities, cause the destruction of lives & properties of not just the co-conspirators but innocent citizens. The NYCN Lagos East Vice-Chairman, Comr. Abdulfatai Ajibola Are pleaded with the angered youth to give peace a chance as a peaceful society would bring about sustainable development and dividend of democracy to all inhabitants.

In a press statement released on Thursday at the end of a one day review on diverting community rehabilitation program for Child against the law which targets children between the age of 10-17yrs in Somolu and Kosofe federal constituency of Lagos East, Comrade Are implore parents to revert back to the basic African values of raising children and also imbibe requisite moral values in their wards as individual homes prepare children for the society, as the first social contact of a child, Are further calls on residents to support security operatives in their roles of policing the society for communal growth.

task all stakeholders present at the review to be the channel through which the program can be propagated as it’s through the various organizations present that the program can be domesticated within surveyed communities.

The review on diverting community rehabilitation programme for children against the law is a UNICEF-funded program for Green Spring Rehabilitation Homes in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
