In order to ensure the ambition of the former Lagos State governor and National leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu come to fruition come 2023, the Somolu/Bariga All progressive Congress (APC) has flags-off Bola Ahmed Tinubu Movement on Friday 18th February 2021.
The banquet hall of Somolu local government was full to its capacity as All Progressive Congress (APC) faithful, traders, artisans, and party supporters besieged the venue to support the flags off with the gathering featuring the launch and unveiling of its coordinators for the Somolu Federal Constituency (Somolu and Bariga).
Some of the top political bigwigs who grace the event include the Lawmaker representing Somolu Constituency1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Olowo, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon AbdulHamed Salawu Dullar, the Executive Chairman of Bariga, and the ALGON President, Hon Alabi Kolade David.
Others were the Member Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya, Acting Apex leader of Somolu/Bariga, Apostle Oyewusi, Immediate Past Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Gbolahan Bagostowe, Somolu LGA Chairman, Deacon Femi Taiwo, Apex leader Alhaji F.O Bakare, Legislative and Executive Members from Somolu and Bariga among other prominent members.
Speaking at the venue, one of the stakeholders, Dr. Shakirudeen Denge Anifowoshe who spoke with Somolu Newspaper commended the political movement saying, it’s time to give the former senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu the needed support to achieve his dream having to breed top political leaders who had contributed to the development of not only Lagos but the entire sphere of the nation, Nigeria.
He added, “Asiwaju is a grassroots political leader that deserves our support at any given time and we’re going to do whatever it takes to ensure he gets what he desires come 2023”.
It would be recalled that the present and the past speakers of the Lagos State House of Assembly from the South-West zone gathered in Ibadan last month to intensify mobilization for the presidential bid of the former Governor of Lagos State as convened by the speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
