At the early hours of today, the esteemed Executives of the Junior Chamber International, Yaba College of Technology performed the roles of effective young mentors in Somolu community to mark the 7th edition of ‘Toyin Aluko Health Forum’.
In a bid to establish a positive change as young active citizens, promoting a healthy lifestyle and well-being for all at all ages is the Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being).
The Executives as led by their President, Jackson Adewale Ayika distributed facemasks to the Students of Somolu Senior High School as they get set to write their certification examination, which serves as a way of limiting the exposure and as preventive measures against the unceasing Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
According to Jackson, the charitable act was also extended to both teaching & non-teaching staffs in Yabatech and Students of Yabatech Secondary School.
Furthermore, he stated that the symbolic gesture was borne out of their will to show love to their junior colleagues within Yabatech axis.
In a pre-statement issued by the chapter’s publicity team, the visitation to the specified schools would create an avenue to familiarize the young ones with Leadership & Entrepreneurship Organizations and help them prepare ahead of their educational journey to tertiary institutions.
While appreciating the Officials on behalf of the entire members of JCI, the President commended them for their dedication towards the individual developments of the students. He encouraged the students to be resolute in their quest to sustain moral values, boycott exam malpractices and prayed they attain success in their endeavours.
