On this auspicious occasion of the Islamic Festival, Eid-el Kabir, which is largely celebrated around the globe.
We earnestly rejoice with our Muslim brothers and sisters for witnessing this glorious day, as they celebrate with intense joy and great feelings.
As law-abiding, true believers of faith and dutiful citizens, it’s strictly advised to adhere to the Lagos State Government directives laid down to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
For the past few months, we’ve endured series of startling events, as caused by the pandemic, which has virtually put to a stop some of the big plans made at the beginning of the year, leading to exasperation and repulsive state of mind.
However, we must be moderate and cautious with our adopted style of celebration. The beauty of this commemoration is simply to call to mind and enlighten ourselves of today’s lessons and it’s importance, as encouraged by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) and put into actions as daily routines.
As we celebrate with our families and other loved ones, let’s show respect and kindness to the vulnerable, orphans, aged and needy within our domains.
Let’s avail them of our unfeigned support, love, care, prayers and replicate the same to the present administration of the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu (Dullar), and for the nation-building.
