Hon. Rotimi Olowo inspects canals, drainages

In a prompt reaction to the complaints by the residents of Fadipe and the bordering streets in Somolu local government area of Lagos as regards the blockage part of the drainages that hindered the free flow of water to the canal, which they see as an invitation to an unwanted guest(flood) to the area.

The Lawmaker representing Somolu Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olowo Rotimi early this morning led some members of the Lagos State Ministry of works headed by Engineer Shomide to the area to ascertained the situation with a view to ironed out a workable idea that will forestall any unfavourable future occurrences.

While availing the inspection team of the situation and its possible causes, Hon. Olowo highlighted some of the problems inherent if not swiftly and adequately given the necessary attention it required. He appealed to the members of the team to make it a priority in their wishlist, stating that he cannot afford his people to be confronted with another challenge of the sort while they are still battling on how to survive the effect of the coronavirus pandemic, most especially as the raining season approaches.

Engr. Shomide, after thorough inspection, assured the lawmaker of their readiness to immediately swing into actions by deploying their humans and materials resources to the area so as to arrest the situations with all attention it required.

Among the inspection team included, the APC LGA Chairman, Pastor Femi Taiwo, Ward D Chairman, Alhaji Mubashiru Akodu, LGA exco, Alhaji Tajudeen Tella among others.
