COVID-19 Update: Coronavirus Enters Imo; 87 New Cases Reported; Number Rises To 1182 In Nigeria

Imo State is the newest state on the list of states infected by the Coronavirus pandemic as the state announced its maiden infection on Saturday, 25 April 2020,
The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday, 25 April 2020 reported 87 new cases of #COVID19 in the country as at 11.55 pm. The announcement was made on the verified twitter handle of the centre.
The Gazelle News.com reports further that the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria has risen to 1182 as at 11.55 pm on Saturday, 25 April 2020.
Of the 87 new cases reported, 33 are in Lagos which continues to remain the epicentre of the pandemic in the country; 18 in Borno; 12 in Osun; nine in Katsina; four each in Kano and Ekiti; three each in Edo and Bauchi and one in Imo.
The Gazelle News.com reports also that Lagos now has 690 reported cases; FCT 138; Kano 77; Ogun 35; Osun 32; Gombe, Katsina and Borno 30 each; Edo 22; Oyo 18 and the trio of Kwara, Akwa Ibom and Bauchi 11 each.
