Following the continuous statewide lockdown necessitated by the need to curb the spread of the ravaging coronavirus in Ogun State, and the implications of the lockdown on the people, which include economic hardship, Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu “Kuye” has donated relief materials to 1000 aged people in some areas in Ijebu Ode.
The foodstuffs donation to the aged and other peoples, was part of Egbe’s corporate social responsibility to help our people to combat the hardship of COVID-19 pandemic stay-home-order.
During the distribution of the relief materials, Obalofin Babajide Odusanya who represented Giwa Suraju Lasisi led other members of the committee to make the process a huge success. The committee members include; Obalofin Babajide Odusanya, Yori Hamed Arowoiyabuna, Yori Kehinde Mayungbe and Yori Muiwa Aserikan.
This is even as the Egbe prepare to the 2nd phase of the distribution of foodstuffs and other relief materials.
While addressing the press, the Publicity Secretary of the Egbe, Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo stressed that COVID-19 is a worldwide disaster and most important public health emergency of our time and therefore requires all hands to be on deck to effectively combat the pandemic.
