“Any effort made to impact positively in human life deserves commendation with desired support”, as the saying.
It is no gainsaying the fact that the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa breakfast bread being distributed across Agege Local Government and Orile-Agege LCDA has been meaningful to the entire residents to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 lockdown in the state.
Residents of the areas, including young and old, are seen to be happy and anxiously waiting in front of their residences to receive the bread for breakfast, which always come as usual and on a daily basis
Recall that the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa had engaged the association of bakers in the entire Agege LG and Orile-Agege LCDA, known as Master Bakers Association to produce 26,000 loaves of bread every day to be distributed to residents of the aforementioned areas, especially the vulnerable.
Interestingly, friends, colleagues and associates of the Rt. Hon. Speaker, having noticed the positive impact of the gesture on the people of Agege during this lockdown, have shown interest and encouraged the Speaker with financial support to enhance the Breakfast Bread program with the sum of Ten Million Naira (10,000,000) only. This is for additional production and for a wider coverage area of distribution beyond the entire Agege to other Local Government/Local Council Development Areas.
“We have seen the impact of the breakfast bread in the lives of the people of the Speaker’s immediate constituency in this critical period of COVID-19 Lockdown, and we feel it is pertinent to extend the gesture to other parts of the State because of Rt. Hon. (Dr) Obasa is not the Speaker of Agege, but Lagos State in general, therefore, the gesture should go beyond Agege, hence the need to give our support to extend the palliative program of the Rt. Hon. Speaker”. One of the donors said.
It is noteworthy that other Local Governments/LCDAs have now been receiving the breakfast bread stimulus, courtesy of the Rt. Hon. Speaker.
The people of Agege LG, Orile-Agege LCDA and some other LGs/LCDAs; with many thanks, have been showering encomium on the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Obasa in appreciation of his stimulus package gestures in this critical period; and for fulfilling this campaign promise that he will not let his constituents down.
Indeed, Obasa Breakfast Bread is widely embraced.
