…give kudos to FG, Lagos govt and all other agencies for prompt actions
The umbrella body of community media in Nigeria, Community Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (COMPASS) has urged Nigerians to imbibe in good health habits at every point in time which will invariably protect them against any disease and position them in good health conditions.
This was the statement from the President of the association, Mr Tayo Aderinola recently in Lagos where he harped on the importance of good health hygiene saying, keeping our environment clean at all times is key to sound and good wealth.
“Health, they say is wealth. Nothing is as good as maintaining good hygiene either at home, office or school at all times. Anything short of that is very dangerous and could spell doom on us as people”.
“Good health hygiene should not be taken with levity especially at this time where we have health issues of deadly viruses; Lassa fever and coronavirus that are currently ravaging countries of the world with devastating results”.
“Paying premium attention by both Government and individuals to health is sacrosanct, playing their roles in ensuring every necessary action are taken to keep the rampaging diseases at bay”. he stated
However, Aderinola never hesitated to pour encomium on federal, Lagos, Ogun state government and all other agencies who had been doing a good job to ensure the viruses are prevented from spreading further.
“At this point, I want to commend federal, Lagos, Ogun state government and all other agencies for their prompt actions and measures put in place so far to curtailed the further spreading of the diseases in the country”.
“Government must continue to sensitize the general public on the basic things to do by preventing diseases in our society as the goes that “prevention is better than cure”.
“All hands must be on deck to rid our society of the deadly viruses and regain our total freedom which will translate to living with peace of mind”.
Meanwhile, coronavirus is a global epidemic that is currently giving world leaders sleepless night with Nigeria having a fair share of 1 infected Italian national who works in Nigeria. While more than 3,800 people have been reported dead and 45 recovered with 80 countries of the world affected.
