The Lagos State Government has been urged to support the Grassroot Designers with Flexible Loans in the government ways to include the Entrepreneurs in this administration and alleviate poverty in the lives of its society.

The Creative Lead for MAC 89 Experience, Michael Chiamaka revealed this on Saturday during his chat with journalists at the MAC 89 Experience held at the Alausa Secretariat Auditorium Ikeja, with the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, that it has been a dream come through for him with the Lagos State Governor’s vision of all inclusion to empower the Fashion Designer like him with Sewing Machine and Manikings among all of them who were trained for about 2 years to making garments ready for sales.

Mr Chiamaka commended the ministry of wealth creation and Employment for the good works which were highly contributed to the development of the Lagos Entrepreneurs in this time where the rate of unemployment has increased to the extent that some youths are already forced into crime.

The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Mrs Boladele Dapo Thomas said this is the first edition in this Administration to present Mac 89 Experience to skill,re-skill and up-skill the Fashion design entrepreneurs and the only exposure the ministry tried to do now was creating access to market because if the ministry continues to train everybody with employability without access to market for people to see Nigeria made products, it would be pointless and how would the ones trained sell their products? She said.

The Permanent Secretary expressed her joy over the Mac 89 experience turn out while addressing the media on the good impact of government towards the society through the ministry of wealth creation and employment and she described how Lagos State Employment Trust Fund also has been contributing to the informal sector since the year 2015.

She urged Nigerians to encourage more in embracing our locally made fabrics that if we do not embrace and brand our products in Nigeria who would do it for us.

She however informed that the Lagos State Government has registered about 66 Entrepreneurial Skills of different Association in Lagos state because it is not only about Fashion and the future of today is not about the formal sector and the informal sector today is the Economy. She said.

The Commissioner for the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Mrs Yetunde Arobieke assured that more of the programme from next year shall be greater than the present while about 20 of the fashion CEOs were honoured at the event.

The. Parent, one of the CEOs father, Mr Dapo Thomas commended Lagos state government for a job well done by helping youths with handworks to achieve their dreams. He said that if other state government could do like the Lagos state government by impacting the lives of youths in the informal sector like this,it would go a long way and would reduce any form of criminal activities in the nation and peace shall reign. He said.

He urged, therefore, his son among the CEOs honoured to remain a focus as he set his target in the Fashion industry that the sky is the beginning and success is sure in the way with God.

He called on the Nigeria leaders who are millionaires to think right as Lagos and Elumelu contribute immensely to impact the lives of the youths with kindness and treasure.
