…obliged to re-contest for second term
The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, had stretched his rich hand of favour to scores of people in his area as mammoth crowd throng Agunbiade school complex to receive goodies.
Like never before, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government empowered more people as ten drink sellers were given 100-litre coolers and N10,000 each to help their business. Tailors were also given sewing machines to further help their ventures. Barbers were not left out in Dullar’s favour as barbing clippers and generators were given to them. As usual, noodles sellers smiled as the Mayor of Somolu rubbed their palms with cooking gas cylinders, packs of Indomie noodles and N10,000 each.
Earlier at the meeting, the APC Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Femi Taiwo rained accolades at the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu; the Lagos State House of Assembly Member (Somolu 1), Hon. Rotimi Olowo; and the Federal House of Representatives Member (Somolu Federal Constituency), Hon. Ademorin Aliu Kuye for their supports to the party and Somolu as a whole. The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government also appreciates the effort of the duo of Hon. Ademorin Kuye and Hon. Rotimi Olowo for their wonderful representation at the state and federal legislative chambers.
While Hon. Rotimi Olowo also empowers 20 people with N100,000 each, the ranking state legislator announced that there will be financial advisors coming to the local government to advise people on how they can put their money at optimal usage.
As expected, the Council Boss ‘Dullar’, announce another set of 20 people who also got the Cheque of N100,000 each. The Mayor said the time is now when everyone starts receiving the dividends of good government directly.
Interestingly, a Somolu born athlete, Bosede Ogunsanya, who is doing Lagos State and Nigeria proud as a professional table tennis player, was appreciated by the Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu and Hon. Rotimi Olowo. Bosede Ogunsanya will be mentoring and training younger female table tennis players in Somolu.
Moreover, the ‘Dullar Continual Initiative’ group presented a letter to the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, obliging him to run for the second term upon completion of his first term in office. The Director-General of the group, Prince Adeshina Sodiq Adeeso (Obama), led his team to the gathering while the Chairperson, Mrs Mariam Salawu-Yusuf, emphasized the Dullar Continual slogan to the huge crowd.
However, among the party leaders, party chiefs, councillors, Supervisory Councilors, the Chairman announced the monthly welfare package for thousands of people at the council secretariat on Friday, October 4, 2019.
