While the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre has been earmarked to host the Ordinary General Assembly, the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts is set to host the CAF Awards.

At the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, the team was joined by the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Hon. Lekan Fatodu and the Director of Sports, Mr Nunayon Travih.

Mr Alex Njoku, who is the Special Assistant to the Director General of the Centre, Ms Tola Akerele, conducted the team round the massive facility, originally built in 1976 for the 2nd World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture, which Nigeria hosted in early 1977. The facility was revitalised and re-dedicated in October 2025.

The CAF delegation members were obviously impressed by the facilities inspected and emphasised the overarching importance of hosting a seamless, safe, innovative and memorable General Assembly and CAF Awards that guests will remember for many years to come.
