Lagos moves to strengthen implementation of 2052 development plan initiatives

The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, will on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, host a Stakeholders’ Parley on the Implementation of the Lagos State Development Plan (LSDP) 2052 Initiatives as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic planning and accelerate sustainable development across the State.

The engagement will bring together key stakeholders from Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to review progress in the implementation of the State’s long-term development agenda and reinforce collaboration towards achieving the vision of making Lagos Africa’s model megacity.

The Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Ope George, said the parley underscores the State Government’s commitment to institutionalising performance-driven governance, effective policy implementation, and evidence-based planning.

According to him, the forum will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to reflect on implementation efforts, strengthen institutional coordination, and reaffirm their collective commitment to delivering the strategic objectives of the Lagos State Development Plan.

The Ministry noted that the engagement aligns with the vision of the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu administration to promote sustainable economic growth, good governance, and an improved quality of life for all residents through effective planning and coordinated implementation.
