Somolu APC holds meeting across wards, urges members to embrace e-registration membership card

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Somolu Local Government Area of Lagos State has held a series of strategic meetings across its wards, urging party members to actively participate in the ongoing electronic registration (e-registration) exercise to obtain the APC membership card.

The meetings, which took place simultaneously across various wards within the local government, were part of the party’s grassroots mobilisation efforts to strengthen its internal database, enhance member participation, and prepare the party for future political engagements.

Addressing party faithful at the ward meetings, APC leaders emphasised the importance of e-registration, describing it as a critical step toward modernising the party’s membership system and ensuring accurate documentation of members. They noted that the e-registration would promote transparency, improve coordination, and give members easier access to party activities and benefits.

According to party officials, the new e-registration membership card will serve as a valid means of identification for members. It will be required for participation in key party programs, congresses, and primaries. Members were therefore encouraged to seize the opportunity to register promptly to avoid being left out of future party activities.

Ward chairmen and other stakeholders used the occasion to sensitise members on the registration procedures, assuring them that the process is simple, secure, and designed to accommodate all eligible members. They also called on ward executives, youth leaders, and women leaders to mobilise residents at the grassroots level to ensure widespread participation.

The APC leadership in Somolu further reiterated its commitment to unity, discipline, and inclusiveness within the party, urging members to remain loyal and supportive of the party’s vision and leadership at all levels.

The meetings ended with a renewed call for party members to turn out en masse for the e-registration exercise, as the Somolu APC continues to consolidate its structures and strengthen its presence ahead of forthcoming political activities.
