Some of the revered Islamic clerics in the Somolu Local Government Area of the state have showered encomiums on the CEO of Proficient Logistics Services Ltd, Mr. Olalekan Owojori, for his benevolence and support during the holy month of Ramadan.
Through his initiative, numerous faithful in the community benefited from a well-coordinated Ramadan Iftar programme, where foods and drinks were distributed ensuring that many Muslims broke their fasts with ease.
The Chief Imam of Ogo-Oluwa Mosque, Alhaji Abdul Rasheed Anofi Arikewuyo, praised Mr. Owojori for his selflessness, noting that the initiative significantly alleviated the burden on fasting Muslims.
He continued, “It is heartwarming to see individuals and businesses take up the responsibility of catering to the needs of the less privileged, especially during a sacred period like Ramadan. May Allah continue to bless him”. He said.
Other clerics, including the Imam of Araromi Mosque, Efon-Alaiye, Alhaji Lukmon Bada, and Ustaz Kareem from the Somolu Central Mosque, also expressed gratitude for the logistics support that ensured timely and adequate meal distribution to hundreds of residents daily. At the same time, they highlighted how such initiatives foster unity, generosity, and a stronger sense of community among Muslims.
In his response, Mr. Owojori expressed his commitment to humanitarian efforts, stating that his motivation stems from a deep sense of service and faith. “Ramadan is a time of reflection, giving, and kindness. Proficient Logistics is humbled to be a part of this noble cause, ensuring that our Muslim brothers and sisters have a seamless and fulfilling Iftar experience,” he said.
The Ramadan Iftar support by Proficient Logistics Services Ltd not only provided meals but also emphasized the importance of corporate social responsibility in fostering communal harmony. Beneficiaries and community leaders have called on other well-meaning individuals and organizations to emulate such acts of kindness, especially during religious and festive periods.
Proficient Logistics Services Ltd had supported about four major mosques in Somolu local government where about 2000 Muslim faithful were feasted for the Ramadan period.
Meanwhile, some of the Somolu concerned citizens have also commended the firm for such a wonderful initiative while they urged the management not to limit the distribution of food to the Ramadan period but rather extend it to either monthly or quarterly depending on the company’s capacity.
