One of the sons of the late Sagamu-born business magnate, Pa. Samuel Ayoola Odujoko, Engr. Lanre Odujoko a few weeks ago rolled out drums in celebration of his late father’s one-year anniversary with friends and family in attendance.
The Ogunbadejo residence of the CDC Chairman of Ogunbadejo, Duru close, Akanni, and Aipepe Streets was a cynosure of all eyes as Politicians, top government functionaries, friends, and family clad in colouful attire not leaving out men of God from Church of the Lord Aladura who led the prayer session.
In his sermon taken from the holy bible, Pastor Joseph Towolawi reminded the children of the deceased and guests to abhor hatred and live in peace with others noting that Pa. Samuel Odujoko was a good example of people who lived an exemplary life when he was alive and that people should remember God and death in all their deed.
“Pa. Samuel was a good example of a complete gentleman, a caring father, a communitarian, and a good Christian who love and assisted people around him as enshrined in the holy book. He lived an exemplary life, no doubt about that.”
He went further, “It’s not our regular at church on Sunday or other Christian activities that’ll guarantee our heaven but your good deed to others while on earth. We should also have it at the back of our mind that death is imminent, we all owe death, hence, we must always do good and remember God in all our endearvours.” He stated.
In conclusion, he prayed for the children, the guests, and the nation, especially at this critical time with security and economic challenges that plagued the nation in the last few years.
Meanwhile, one of the political elites in the area, Hon. Adeniyi Osibemekun popularly known as Jackal in his condolence remarks described Pa. S.A Odujoko as a great man of honour who loved his family and people around him during his lifetime.
The former Somolu/Bariga PDP chairman, however, prayed to God to grant him eternal rest and continue to guide the entire family he left behind.
