Olateju in Mushin area of the state was a scene to behold on Sunday 13th March 2022 as Senator Anthony Adefuye, the Executive Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar and other top members of Somolu All progressive Congress (APC) graced the 8- Day fidau prayer for the late Alhaja Nusirat Aduke Bakare Anifowose, mother of Alhaji Bakare, a chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), in Somolu local government.
In a statement made by the leader of Lagos-East Senatorial District and a member of Governor Advisory Council (GAC), Distinguished Senator Anthony Adefuye described Alhaja Aduke’s passage as a glorious one having lived a worthy life leaving behind good children that will carry on from where she left.
“The most important thing in life is to live a fulfilled life with a worthwhile legacy for people to emulate which mama has done. We should also not forget that one day, we’ll all leave this world and join our creator which points to the fact that we must always do good and expect good in return”. the statement said.
Also speaking at the fidau prayer session, the council chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ said the deceased, Alhaja Aduke Bakare Anifowose was a disciplined and tolerant woman who lived an exemplary life and transferred that goodness into her children.
He continued, “We thank Almighty Allah that Alhaja Aduke died a fulfilled woman with a worthy legacy to emulate from. She’s really a wonderful woman with so much respect and honour that attracted many of us here today”.
In a similar manner, former Somolu Supervisory Council for Agric and Sports, Hon. Olawale Oseni said Alhaja Aduke Bakare Anifowose no doubt has done her bit when she was alive and having to live up to 107 years is a grace from God.
The Afro-styled honourable Agbe l’oba as popularly called by his colleague, however, prayed to God to grant the repose of the deceased eternal rest and forgive her shortcomings.
