Honour, they say is due for whom honour is due as one of the topnotch International news Magazines in West Africa, Face of Africa International Magazine has bestowed on Somolu Council helmsman, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ yet another honour as the “Person of the Year Awards” barely a month after he was awarded the “Best Chairman in Nigeria” by Abuja base popular Magazine thereby increasing his awards archive geometrically day-by-day.
The Face of Africa Int’l Magazine team was warmly welcomed by the Executive Chairman, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ in his office in Durosinmi with so much excitement and enthusiasm.
According to the Executive Director (West Africa) of the Media Outfit, Dr. Richard Kpoku-Aquarte who delivered a goodwill message during a courtesy visit to the Council chairman on Thursday 11th November, 2021 described Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu as a pragmatic democratic leader whose antecedent, accountability, and incredible performance has truly proven him to be the true leader of the people which has undoubtedly earned him the accolade amongst other local government chairmen in the state.
He adds, “We gone to Efon-Alaye Street and we’ve seen the excellent road network he had done for his people and the feedback from the people in the area was massive and commendable. Not only that, we have also visited some other areas coupled with good health care delivery system put in place to cater for his people when and where necessary, I think he has done fantastically well”. Meanwhile, in his remark, the council boss who was represented by the Chairperson of the Somolu local government, Hon. Mariam Omotanwa Salau commended the Executive Director of the media Outfit; Face of Africa Int’l Magazine and his team for finding him worthy of being awarded with such an outstanding honour.
“I want to say a big thank you and I appreciate you guys for this wonderful and unique present. Let me assure you that I’m not going to disappoint you. This is just the beginning of many good things to come and I’m not going to relent as I will continue to do more and keep the flag flying”.
Present at the presentation of the awards includes the Vice-Chairman of the council, Hon. Kunle Ekiyemi, the Special Assistant to Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu on Special Duties; Hon. Dele Afolabi, Special Assistant to Chairman on Market Matters; Hon. Tajudeen Rasak, Top member of Dullar Continu Group and Community leader, Alhaji Inuolajin Tella Tajudeen, Chief Press Secretary to the council chairman, Oseni Owolabi Ajimomuiya, Personal Assistance to the chairman; Hon.
