Lagos House of Assembly aspirant in the 2019 election, Mrs Maryam Owolabi Bada has described the leadership role of one of the Somolu APC apex leaders, Chief Sikiru Asenuga who died a few weeks ago as an iconic, charismatic and exemplary one.
She stressed further “leader Asenuga is one political leader that will always put the party interest above all other interest. He’s a listening leader that would never look down on anyone talk less of discarding laudable ideas”.
“When I approached to declare my intention to run for a political office, he offered his advice on how best to about my political ambition and his stand. Today, he’s no more but his words of encouragement speak volume, I learnt a lot from his experiences”.
“He’s a respected community leader and a fatherly figure whose roles in enhancing peaceful coexistence both in party and community cannot be overemphasis. He will be missed dearly by his community and Somolu APC”. she stated
In the same vein, leader Demola Shoga never hesitated to pour encomium on late Chief Sikiru Asenuga as a gallant and articulate political personality who would go to any length ensure the right decision is taken at every point in time without comprising. He was a goal-getter and love dearly by other political leaders and party members.
Hon. Kamuladeen Olaitan, an experienced political personality and chairman Zone 3 (Ward E) extolled the virtue of leader Asenuga as a well-grounded labour leader and political amazon who practice politics with open-mindedness, a role model to other political rookies. He wasn’t the type of leader that would deprive others of making or achieving their goals.
