COVID-19: Hon. Olowo Rotimi rounds off 7days One meal per day programme

It was an outpour of praises and encomium on the lawmaker representing Somolu Constituency1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olowo Rotimi Emmanuel by admirers and beneficiaries of the just concluded 7Days One Meal Per Day Programme for more than One thousand residents of his constituency today Sunday 26th April, being part of his efforts to mitigate the adverse effect of the lockdown posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The programme, which started on Monday, 20th April comprises of prepared food ranging from rice, beans, bread, Amala and other local delicacies that were shared to the people in a carefully planned and well-conceived manner.

Single meal a day to over 1000 people, Hon. Olowo Rotimi said was a gesture necessary to give back to the people, especially the vulnerable ones at these difficult times.

He stated that there’s a need for him to look back and put smiles on their faces owing to the mutual understanding & respect that exists among them.

The lawmaker, who had distributed cash and relief packages (the third phase since the commencement of the lockdown) across the eight wards in his constituency assured the people of his readiness to do more from time to time as may be necessary.

He stressed the need for people to adhere strictly to government directives in order to curtail the spread of the virus for the good of all.

Hon. Olowo has so far expended about N30m on relief materials and others since the lockdown was first announced by the government till date.
