Ayika Jackson Adewale leads Ikorodu Youth Division on a three weeks secondary school outreach

The Lagos State Youth Ambassadors, representing Ikorodu division saw the need and took the lead by organising a three (3 weeks) secondary school outreach which was aimed at seeing a better, peaceful and violence free Ikorodu Division through sensitization and advocacy to secondary schools in Ikorodu division namely: Ipakodo Senior Grammar School, United Senior High School, Reri Senior Secondary school, Community Senior Grammar School, Odogunyan Grammar School and Ikorodu Senior Grammar School.

The outreach which started on February 19th 2020 and ended on March 4th 2020 was led, supervised and chairman by the 2019/2020 Ikorodu Divisional Youth Ambassador, in person of Ambassador Ayika Jackson Adewale.

The outreach was themed: RISK EMBEDDED IN LIVING DANGEROUSLY, where Cultism, Hooliganism, Drug Abuse, Corruption on the Internet, Indecent Dressing Amongst Youth, Teenage Pregnancy, Examination malpractice and others are the focus topic of discussions.

The outreach was carried out simultaneously, and organised by the 2019/2020 Ikorodu Division Youth Ambassadors led by Ayika, while some patriotic youth and voluntary organisations in the Division also partnered with the Ikorodu Ambassadors to achieving the course namely:
Milecent Foundation, World of Dance Entertainment, Focus Point Academy, Ikorodu Ambassadors Group, Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative Movement, IYA 2019 Ambassadors, Ikorodu Scout amongst many others.

The outreach also attracted media partners and bodies who were also on ground to support the outreach, some of which are: LTV, Ikorodu News Paper, Impact News Paper, Gbetu TV, Waves TV Plus, Punch News Paper, Shomolu News Paper, Yossy Info, The Right Radio and Many more.

The outreach was proudly supported by: The Lagos State Ministry of Youths and Social Development, Lagos State Education District 2 (ii) and the 2019/2020 Lagos State Youth Ambassadors.

The Ikorodu Divisional Ambassador, in person of Ambassador Jackson Adewale AYIKA said “Leadership is Influence and Sacrifice, as such it’s a privilege and an honour to be bestowed with the mantle of Leadership to work effectively to ensure outstanding performance of the youthful potentials in order to utilize them for assest to better our prestigious ikorodu division and obviously we are working assiduously to achieving this course, we have outlined numbers of impactful projects and programmes to be executed in this Ambassadorial tenure that will positively influence the life of our youth in Ikorodu division of Lagos State, we hereby call for more hands and support at every level that will enable us achieve success in 2020 and beyond”.
